Malawi leader President Dr Lazarus Chakwera on Friday presided over the graduation ceremony at University of Science and Technology (MUST).
Upon his conclusion of the graduation ceremony Chakwera greeted people.
Addressing people there, Chakwera assured them that his administration is committed to addressing challenges faced by the district.
Chakwera reiterated the government’s commitment to addressing food security issues, ensuring the availability of maize in all ADMARC depots.
He also acknowledged the significant impact of Cyclone Freddy on the country’s food security and outlined plans to address this and other challenges that arose during the implementation of the Affordable Inputs Programme (AIP) in the last farming season.
Thyolo was one of the 13 districts affected heavily by Tropical Cyclone Freddy.
