President Dr. Lazarus McCarthy Chakwera says his administration will do everything possible to address food security issues in the country by ensuring availability of maize in all ADMARC depots.

Chakwera made the remarks on Friday 11th August 2023 when he addressed a gathering outside the Malawi University of Science and Technology (MUST) where he had conferred academic accolades to 410 students

Chakwera also assured people in Thyolo that his administration is committed to addressing challenges faced by the district.

The Malawi leader then acknowledged the significant impact of Cyclone Freddy on the country’s food security and outlined plans to address this and other challenges that arose during the implementation of the Affordable Inputs Programme (AIP) in the last farming season.
