A group of people calling themselves Independent Civil Society Group has commended President Dr Lazarus Chakwera for reinstating Malawi’s State Residences Chief of Staff Mr Prince Kapondamgaga.
The grouping comprises of activists Unandi Banda, Caesar Kondowe and Caleb Ng’ombo.
The trio told journalists in Blantyre that Kapondam’gaga was cleared by the Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) and, therefore, there is nothing wrong for the President to bring him back to his job.
Addressing a news conference in Blantyre, Ng’ombo said the civil society grouping commends the president for reinstating Kapondamgaga.
The trio commended the office of the ACB for acting within the destine of the law.
“The ACB acted fairly and within the law that establishes it as an independent institution. Therefore, anything contrary is a gross misconception, misleading, misguided and a pursuant of personal vendetta,” he said.
