Lilongwe City Council Mayor Councilor Richard Banda has appealed for unity if the area is to achieve meaningful development.
Banda was speaking at Chioko in the area of traditional authority Tsabango in Lilongwe when he met 50 block leaders from the area.
Speaking in an interview soon after the meeting, Banda said he decided to call for the meeting in order to engage the chiefs to work hard and together in order to complete development projects taking place in the city.
Banda reminded them of their role as block leaders saying they are not politicians.
The chiefs who spoke , commended Banda for the interface meeting held.
