Member of Parliament for Kasungu Central , Ken Kandodo, has commended Malawi President Dr Lazarus Chakwera for being the first President after Kamuzu Banda to completely change the face of Kasungu Town Council.
Speaking at Kasungu Boma during the whistle stopover which Chakwera had as he was coming from the north, Kandodo said was happy that since Chakwera was ushered into office , Kasungu is no longer the same.
Kandodo cited construction of K4 Billion road project currently taking place in the country.
Kandodo also thanked the president for increasing the Constituency development fund from K40Million to K100Million saying this has helped him to complete various developmental projects such as bridges , school blocks.
Kandodo said with the money, Kasungu will now have streets lights which is the first time in history.
The MP concluded by asking Government to erect fence along Kasungu National Park in order to block elephants which terrorise the surrounding villages.
