Member of Parliament for Lilongwe City South East constituency, Ulemu Msungama on Thursday commended eight learners for booking themselves places for National Secondary schools.
Speaking when he visited Chioko Primary school in the area, Msungama said he never expected the seven girls and one boy to such wonders.
Msungama urged the students to work hard and continue carrying the Chioko flag to the places where they have been selected.
Msungama announced that he will use constituency development fund (CDF) bursary to help these learners.
Msungama said on top of the bursary, he will also give the genius learners , K50, 000 each as pocket money.
Meanwhile Principal Education officer for Lilongwe Urban, Chrissy Fodya, has since commended Msunguma for a good the helping hand shown towards the learners.
Fodya has since urged other well wishers to help these students since some are coming from poor families.
